What's the actual difference between player ESP and treasure ESP in Sea of Thieves?

I understand one is about players, but the item lists can get pretty specific.

I've seen terms like chest, skull, gem, key and buried treasure grouped together.

Are those separate toggles in the menus, or are people just using different names for one loot feature?

They're different item categories from what's listed on the product page.

A chest and a buried treasure marker aren't necessarily the same thing.

Player ESP is more character-focused. Boxes, skeletons, health bars and nicknames are examples.

Okay, that explains why the menu list is so long.

The ZADEYO product lists player options separately from chests, skulls, gems, pouches, gifts, tomes, keys and buried treasure. (Product listing)

It also lists wood, food and cannonballs under the resource categories.

Just don't assume every object type has the same behavior because they're grouped under one heading.

That was my main question. I thought it might all be one toggle.

Product pages aren't always great at explaining the difference, so checking the actual menu preview helps.

The current ZADEYO listing has separate Visuals and other menu sections, which makes the categories easier to distinguish. The exact current behavior should still be verified in the product documentation.

Got it. I was mixing up the general feature name with the individual options.

Pretty understandable. The item list is basically a small dictionary of pirate loot lol.
