Does stream-proof mean Sea of Thieves cheats are undetected?

Question about two terms I keep seeing on cheat product pages.

"Stream-proof" and "undetected" get used together a lot.

Are they actually the same thing? I always assumed stream-proof meant the overlay doesn't show up in recording software.

That doesn't sound like the same question as whether the game's anti-cheat can detect something.

You're right. Those are different concepts.

Stream-proof generally refers to capture visibility. It isn't proof of anti-cheat status.

Okay, good. I thought I was missing something.

The current ZADEYO page advertises a Stream-Proof mode that hides ESP and menus from OBS, Streamlabs and most capture tools. That's a claim about recording visibility, not a guarantee about enforcement. (Product listing)

And the game's own rules are the separate issue.

What does Rare actually say about third-party tools?

Rare's enforcement policy says that third-party tools generally violate the Sea of Thieves Code of Conduct. It makes a limited clarification about crosshair overlays, but that isn't a general exception for ESP or other cheats. (Official policy)

Exactly. Capture visibility doesn't mean the software is allowed.

Also, an old forum comment saying something is "undetected" doesn't prove anything about the current build.

Makes sense. So stream-proof is about what appears in a recording, while detection and permission are separate questions.

Yep. That's the distinction to remember.
